Mass. Gas Prices 45 Cents Lower Than A Year Ago

BOSTON (AP) — Gas prices in Massachusetts are up two cents per gallon.

AAA Northeast says its weekly survey released on Monday found the average price of self-serve, regular gas was $2.19 per gallon, two cents higher than last week.

AAA says the price is still two cents lower than the national average of $2.21 per gallon.

It's also 45 cents lower than the price in Massachusetts at this time last year, when it was an average $2.64 per gallon.

AAA's survey found self-serve, regular gas in Massachusetts selling for as low as $1.99 per gallon and as high as $2.49.
