State Police Investigating Armed Robbery At Starbucks Inside Mass Pike Rest Area

BOSTON (CBS) – Massachusetts State Police are investigating an armed robbery at a drive-thru Starbucks inside the Framingham rest area on the Mass Pike.

It happened at 6:15 a.m. on the westbound side of the road. There were two employees present at the time.

An armed robbery was reported at a drive-thru Starbucks in Framingham (WBZ-TV)

The male suspect allegedly forced his way into the building through a door employees use, flashed a gun and accessed a safe before fleeing. State Police said he was wearing a ski mask and took a "significant" amount of money.

He fled on foot down a truck access road behind the rest area. Dollar bills could be seen strewn across the grass outside the business.

No arrests have been made.
