Mass. Man Threatens To Kill Police, First Responders

BOSTON (CBS) - Massachusetts State Police are on alert after a video was posted to Twitter threatening officers.

The video was posted to a public Twitter page and shows someone driving behind an ambulance on Route 24 in Stoughton on Wednesday. A man's voice can be heard in the video stating that he believes the police are out to get him.

"Early in the morning, right? So I get up to go to work, look who gets in front of me," he said in the video. "The police using emergency vehicle to (expletive) with a n----- like me."

"But a n----- like me is going to take a (expletive) gun and kill one of these (expletive)," he continued. "I can't take 'em all, but I'm gonna take a few with me."

A statewide alert was sent out to law enforcement and an investigation is being done through the state's Fusion Center, state police spokesperson Dave Procopio said. Procopio did not identify the man.

According to Brewster Ambulances Services, the same man threatened the two paramedics who drove in front of him. Paramedic Flo Berges and Jean Hacce were transferring a patient and their family to Boston at the time.

"I roll down the window and he starts screaming at me how if we keep on messing with him he's going to shoot us," Berges said. "He's screaming and he's making handgun signals."

Brewster's Director of Quality Assurance, Daniel Thomas, says precautions are now being taken by the company.

"Just a sense of heightened awareness went out so trucks were to remain locked. Just extra vigilance. Looking over your shoulder," Thomas said.
