Martellus Bennett Wears Pikachu Costume At Boston Children's Hospital

BOSTON (CBS) -- New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett went to Boston Children's Hospital to read from his latest book Tuesday and he ditched his jersey in favor of a Pokemon costume.

He posted a photo of himself on Twitter dressed as Pikachu at the hospital.

As Bennett explained on Twitter, his visits to read to children aren't about football, so he doesn't dress for the game.

"They always want you to wear a jersey when you go read to the kids or any other event with kids but I don't anymore," he wrote.

Bennett published his first children's book, "Hey A.J. It's Saturday," this year, the first in a planned series.
