Divers Search Marshfield Pond After Person Reportedly Falls Through Ice

MARSHFIELD (CBS) - Rescuers have concluded their search for a person who may have fallen through the ice of a Marshfield pond, saying they are confident no one is in the water.

It all started late Thursday morning in a small body of water, about 3 to 4 feet deep, near Main and Pine streets.

Police told WBZ-TV they received a report of a person ice skating with a hockey stick who may have fallen through the ice.

Divers searched a large hole in the ice and State Police also joined the search with their helicopter.

At about 3 p.m., the fire department said it was ending the search after not finding anything.
