Marlboro Family Not Home When Fire Destroys House

MARLBORO (CBS) -- A Marlboro family was not home on Sunday when a fire destroyed their house.

No one was hurt, but one or more pets were inside when a fire ripped through the home on Parmenter Road.

Getting water to the house was a big problem.

"The closet fire hydrant is a few thousand feet down the street," Marlboro Fire Chief James Fortin said. "We had heavy fire coming in on the roof and the fire was on all floors."
