More Than 450K Without Power As Nor'easter Slams Massachusetts

BOSTON (CBS) – Several thousand homes and business in Massachusetts lost power as a powerful nor'easter hit southern New England Friday.

More than 451,000 outages were reported at 11:30 p.m., according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA).

In Watertown, high winds blew down an entire line of utility poles on Arsenal Street. Eight utility poles came crashing down around 10:30 a.m. Friday when a big gust of wind came in.
