Bombing Survivor Marc Fucarile Finishes Boston Marathon Handcycle Race

BOSTON (CBS) -- Three years after he lost his leg in the Boston Marathon bombing, survivor Marc Fucarile returned to the race to compete as a hand cyclist.

Fucarile completed the race with a finish time of 02:21:37.

"It's just another day to me," Fucarile told WBZ-TV's David Wade.

He said participating in the marathon was a last-minute decision for him, due to a shoulder problem--but he made it. Seeing his friends and family during the race made him a bit emotional.

"I thrive off the support from everybody," said Fucarile. "The fans, the people that supported me this whole time since my accident, since the incident up here."

Fucarile was the last survivor to leave the hospital, 100 days after the bombings.
