Marathon Olive Wreaths Arrive In Boston

BOSTON (CBS) -- Preparations for the 119th Boston Marathon are in full swing, with just a few weeks left until race day.

On Wednesday, a big part of the prize arrived in Boston.

The Champions olive wreaths have arrived from Marathon, Greece, and stopped by the WBZ-TV studios on Wednesday. They've been freshly dipped in 24 karat gold, and will be awarded to the four champions on Marathon Monday.

The Consul General of Greece will formally present the wreaths to the B.A.A. at a ceremony at the State House on April 16, and event that will be emceed by WBZ-TV's Dan Roche.
