Marathon Bombing Survivor To Run 5K In Lowell

BOSTON (CBS) – Boston Marathon bombing survivor Roseann Sdoia is running her first road race since the attacks.

Roseann and her running partner, Jothy Rosenberg, have been training for months for a 5K in Lowell on Sunday. Rosenberg lost his leg to osteosarcoma at 16.

They are testing themselves and raising money for the Who Says I Can't Foundation. The foundation helps athletes with disabilities buy running prosthetics and pay for coaching.

Sdoia is also the primary subject "Who Says Roseann Can't Run?" a documentary about her training.

A preview of the film will air on Saturday, November 15 at the Franklin Elks Lodge from 6:00-10:00pm.
