Truck Leaks Gallons Of Maple Syrup On New Hampshire Highway

KEENE, N.H. (CBS) -- Firefighters had a sticky situation on their hands Monday afternoon after a truck started leaking dozens of gallons of maple syrup on the highway.

The Keene Sentinel reports that the leak on the Route 10-12-101 roundabout backed up traffic onto Route 9.

The truck was carrying about 220 gallons of syrup and had spilled about 75, The Sentinel reported.

Firefighters used sand and tarps to try and clean up the mess.

There's no word yet on what caused the leak.
