Mansfield Man Accused Of Trying To Attack Woman And Toddler With Knife
MANSFIELD (CBS) – A man accused of trying to attack a woman and her toddler was arrested in Mansfield Thursday afternoon.
Police say 27-year-old David Brock charged at the woman and the child with a knife in an apartment on Francis Ave.
The woman managed to get onto a balcony where she called police.
Brock lives in the apartment with his mother. She tells WBZ he suffers from bipolar disorder and has not been taking his medications.
Brock and his mother are getting ready to move, and the young woman who police found on the balcony is a friend, who was there to help them pack.
Mrs. Brock says her son had an unexplained angry outburst.
Officers entered the apartment and arrested Brock at gunpoint without incident. Two knives were recovered from the apartment that Brock is believed to have placed in the tank of the apartment's toilet.
David Brock was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
No one was injured during the incident.
