39-Year-Old Mansfield Firefighter Dies Of Cancer

MANSFIELD (CBS) -- The Mansfield Fire Department announced Saturday morning that 39-year-old firefighter Mike McLaughlin died that morning after a long battle with cancer.

The department said McLaughlin was an eight-year veteran and a third generation firefighter. He leaves behind his wife, stepdaughter, parents and brother.

"Rest in Peace Mike we have it from here," the department wrote on Facebook.

The family has not yet made funeral arrangements.
