Man Smoking Cigarette Beneath 'No Smoking' Sign Arrested On Warrants

MALDEN (CBS) – A man smoking a cigarette under a "No Smoking" sign was arrested after police found he had warrants out for his arrest in several courts.

Transit police said they saw a man smoking beneath the sign prohibiting the act inside the Malden Center station.

When officers approached James Kelley, 44, of Dorchester, they found that he had warrants for his arrest issued out of Dorchester District Court, Somerville District Court and Roxbury District Court.

The warrants were issued for drug possession charges, operating under the influence, and driving without a license.

Police arrested Kelley and during the booking process found he was in possession of several prescription drugs he was not authorized to have.
