Man Shot, Injured In Everett Shortly After Leaving Encore Casino

EVERETT (AP) — A man was shot and injured shortly after leaving a Massachusetts casino over the weekend, authorities said.

The victim, who is in his 30s, was found shot at about 3 a.m. Sunday less than a mile from the Encore Boston Harbor casino in Everett, according to a statement from Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Everett police Chief Steven Mazzie.

His name was not made public.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and has been stabilized, authorities said.

The shooting is not believed to be random and no arrests have been announced, authorities said.

No additional information was disclosed.
