BOSTON (CBS) – State Police say the man they pulled from the Charles River Tuesday afternoon was pushed in and a suspect has been arrested.

The victim, a 26-year-old man, was intentionally pushed into the water from a dock near the Mass. Ave Bridge by 27-year-old Lenny Quintero-Flores of Malden, police say.

The unidentified victim was pulled from the water by state troopers and Boston firefighters and remains in critical condition at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Police say both men had been drinking, and the victim was sleeping or passed out when he was pushed into the water shortly before 5:00 p.m. He was pulled from the water about 20 minutes later.
