Man Held Without Bail In Quincy Sexual Assault Case

BOSTON (CBS) -- A Quincy man is facing 19 charges in connection with an alleged attack that occurred in his townhome in March.

Steven Lent was arrested after police responded to reports of a woman screaming in the home. According to court documents, the woman told police Lent raped her at knifepoint and strangled her until she lost consciousness when she tried to escape. The woman and her friend were escorts contacted by Lent through the website backpage.com, court documents state.

One of the women entered the apartment alone and the other had called police after she heard a "blood-curdling scream" coming from inside, according to court documents.

Lent, a former Allston resident, was arrested just last year in connection with a series of sexual assaults near the Boston University campus. Lent was out on bail and wearing an ankle monitoring bracelet when he was arrested again in Quincy.

Lent pleaded not guilty to charges including rape, witness intimidation and indecent assault and battery stemming from the Quincy case.
