Man Found Shot Multiple Times, Lying In Street In Roxbury

ROXBURY (CBS) -- A man was found shot multiple times in the middle of a Boston street early Wednesday morning.

Boston Police said they responded to a call on Homestead Street near Harold Street and found the man laying in the street next to a car.

It wasn't yet clear whether or not he was shot while inside the car. A car was towed from the scene.

The victim's injuries were life-threatening, police said.

Neighbors told WBZ NewsRadio's Karyn Regal that it was just a typical Fourth of July, and they said they heard no arguments or gunshots.

 

"Just fireworks...everybody was outside, having fun," one area resident said.

Police said it wasn't clear if the man was originally shot on Homestead Street.

No arrests have yet been made.
