Man Charged With Stealing $750 In Alcohol From Hingham Stop & Shop On Christmas Eve

HINGHAM (CBS) -- A Brockton man is charged with stealing several hundred dollars worth of alcohol from Stop and Shop Supermarket in Hingham on Christmas Eve.

Johnny Perkins Jr., 35, allegedly pushed a shopping cart carrying 16 liquor bottles worth more than $750 out of the Lincoln Street store on Wednesday.

Perkins Jr. has been charged with larceny over $250. Police say Brockton District Court issued a warrant for him previously for intimidating a witness.

His bail was set at $395, and Perkins Jr. was sent to Plymouth County jail Wednesday night.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
