Man Charged With Attempted Murder Of Salem Police Officer Held Without Bail

SALEM (CBS) -- A former Malden resident who allegedly shot at a Salem police officer last week was arraigned Tuesday afternoon.

Jeremiah Wooden is facing 11 charges after prosecutors say he shot at police officers and ran from the scene.

Salem Police officers were attempting to arrest Wooden on Fairfield Street last Thursday night when he pulled out a gun and allegedly fired at the officers.

He was arrested a day later in Lynn.

Wooden's charges include assault to murder and assault and battery on a police officer. He is being held without bail and is due back in court on May 19th.
