Man Charged With 3rd OUI In Dennis Crash

DENNIS (CBS) - A 51-year-old West Yarmouth man is facing his third OUI charge after crash Friday night that snapped the top off a tree.

Police say Christopher Capachione was speeding down Pond Street, blew a stop sign, and sent his SUV airborne as it crossed Loring Ave.

The SUV hit a tree, with the impact causing the top of the tree to snap.

The top of the tree took out power lines, The road was closed for about two hours so crews could clean up.

Capachione was treated at the scene by Dennis EMS, but refused transport to the hospital.

He's charged with OUI 3rd offense, operating to endanger, speeding and failure to stop for a stop sign.
