Malden Police: Man Concealed Cocaine, Heroin In His Body

MALDEN (CBS) --- Police say a Lynn man allegedly hid thousands of dollars worth of drugs inside his body to avoid being caught by police.

Earlier this month, Malden police conducting an undercover operation, saw a man they say is a known drug dealer in the area. Jeffrey Alicea, 30, of Lynn, led police on a short chase before crashing his PT Cruiser on Route 60.

Police say they learned through the investigation that Alicea was possibly concealing drugs in his body. Police say Alicea was uncooperative, so they obtained a body cavity search warrant. The warrant was executed at a local hospital where police netted over 28 grams of crack cocaine and more than three ounces of heroin.

Alicea has been charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute class A substance, drug violations near a school, failure to stop for a police officer and driving with a suspected license.

Kara Sullivan (Malden Police)

The passenger in the car, Kara Sullivan, 25, of Malden, was arrested on warrants for possession of class A substance, unnatural acts, larceny over $250 and failure to appear in court.

Both were arraigned in Malden District Court.
