Malden Police Investigating 'Suspicious' Death

MALDEN (CBS) -- One man is in custody after the death of a 31-year-old woman was ruled as suspicious by Malden Police and the Middlesex DA.

Police were called to a Lebanon Street home for an unresponsive woman just before 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

After finding the woman, police began to look for 32-year-old Ryan Power.

They issued a warrant for Power on the charges of strangulation and assault and battery on a household or family member.

Police allege Power left the house on Tuesday night after getting into an argument with the woman.

He was located and arrested in Seabrook, New Hampshire as a fugitive of justice and transported back to Massachusetts.

Neighbors told WBZ-TV that whoever lives in the house where the woman was found keeps to themselves. While some said the neighborhood was quiet, others said police were often in the area.

Power will be arraigned in Malden District Court on June 22.

No further details are available at this time.
