Malden Man Charged With Stealing Cable From 'Patriots Day' Movie Set

MALDEN (CBS) – Police arrested a Malden man who allegedly stole cable from the set of the Mark Wahlberg's movie about the Boston Marathon bombings.

David Lyndell, 45, was charged with taking larceny over $250, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and taking the license plate of another after an incident Tuesday around 2 p.m.

Police say Lyndell took expensive cable from the "Patriots Day" set and put it in his car on Mason Street.

A security guard told police Lyndell fled the scene after being confronted about the cable.

Officers found Lyndell's car in the driveway of a home. He was arrested a short time later.

Malden Police said they are still searching to locate several thousand dollars in cable that was taken from the Patriots Day set.

Lyndell is scheduled to be arraigned in Malden District Court.
