Malden Man Accused Of Assaulting MBTA Rider With Brick Block

BOSTON (CBS) -- A Malden man is under arrest after allegedly assaulting a man with a brick block.

Police say Stephen Fusco, 48, approached a man at North Station Commuter Rail station Thursday evening and, without being provoked, struck him in the head with a brick.

Passersby reported the incident to police, who found Fusco with blood on his hands.  He admitted to the assault and told police he did not appreciate the way the victim "looked" at him.

Fusco was arrested and charged with Assault & Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for head trauma.
