Pedestrian Killed Crossing Lynn Highway

LYNN (CBS/AP) — State Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing a highway.

The man was hit around 6:10 p.m. Friday on Route 1A in Lynn. Authorities say the pedestrian was not in the crosswalk.

Emergency officials took the victim, 26-year-old Miguel Delrosario of Lynn, to Massachusetts General Hospital where he later died.

Police say the driver, Matthew Reppucci, 35, of Hampstead, N.H., stayed at the scene. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

State Police are still investigating the death.
