Son Charged With Murdering 80-Year-Old Mother Inside Lynn Home

LYNN (CBS) - An elderly woman was found murdered in her Lynn home Friday night, and her son is now charged with her murder.

The body of Katherine Paratore, 80, was found in her home on Jenness Street around 8 p.m. Friday, the Essex District Attorney's office confirmed Sunday.

Paratore's son, 49-year-old Alfredo Paratore, also lived in the home. He is charged in his mother's death and is expected to be arraigned Monday in Lynn District Court.

It appeared the body had been in the home for days before officers discovered her, sources told the WBZ-TV I-Team.

Katherine Paratore had "multiple injuries," investigators said.
