Dozens Of Animals Taken From Ludlow Farm, Owner Faces Cruelty Charges

LUDLOW (CBS) - A Ludlow man is facing several charges of animal cruelty after dozens of animals were seized from his farm over the weekend.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Bernice Corpuz reports

The MSPCA says 43-year-old Dean Manual faces up to 36 counts of animal cruelty and additional pending charges for allegedly assaulting a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.

The MSPCA and Animal Rescue League of Boston seized ponies, pigs, donkeys, alpacas, goats, ducks, sheep, an emu, a goose and a rabbit.

Authorities said the animals were cold and emaciated.

They are now being treated in Dedham at the Animal Rescue League.
