Lowell Spinners Present Pete Frates With 'Ice Bucket Bobble'

BEVERLY (CBS) - The Lowell Spinners presented Pete Frates with an "Ice Bucket Bobble" on Tuesday.

The bobble honors the former Boston College baseball player's contributions to the fight against ALS.

The first 1,000 fans that go to the Spinners game on Sunday, July 26 will get their own bobble.

"Pete is just an absolute inspiration," said Spinners VP Jon Goode. "We're extremely honored to be working with the Frates family to make this happen."

The Spinners also hope to sell 1,000 bobbles for $20 each to raise money for ALS research.
