Lowell Man Charged With Murder

LOWELL (CBS) --- Detectives in Lowell have connected the dots.

James Sheedy has been charged with murder. Saturday night, police went to Sheedy's home on Walker Street at the request of his family for a well-being check.

When officers arrived, they found the body of a woman who had been stabbed to death. Her name has not yet been released.

Sheedy was arrested a short-time later, near his home.

He'll be arraigned Monday in Lowell District Court.
