Father, 2 Young Children Hit By Car In Lowell

LOWELL (CBS) – A father and his two young children were hit by a car and injured in Lowell Friday night.

Police say the 22-year-old father was pushing two girls, a nine-month-old and a two-year-old, in a twin stroller when they were hit crossing Fletcher Street.

The father rolled up onto the vehicle and was thrown to the pavement. The children were not ejected from the stroller. They were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The mother who was with them was not struck.

Police say the driver did stop and they are investigating the accident. No citations have been issued.
