Lightning Strike Likely Caused Dorchester House Fire

BOSTON (CBS) – Firefighters believe a Dorchester fire was likely caused by lightning strike.

Boston firefighters were called to 488 Adams Street just before 10 a.m.

Heavy flames were coming from the attic of a 2.5-story wood frame home.

The fire reached two alarms, though no one was injured.

Three residents were displaced by the fire, which caused about $200,000 worth of damage.

Investigators are continuing to work on determining the cause of the fire, though it was most likely caused by a lightning strike.
