Level 2 Sex Offender Arrested After 'Piggybacking' At Central Square

BOSTON (CBS) – Transit police arrested a man after he allegedly evaded fare at an MBTA station and was determined to be in violation of sex offender laws.

Police said Danny Davis, 27, of Boston, was "piggybacking" at Central Square when he entered behind a paying customer earlier this week.

Officers approached Davis to give him a citation, but instead discovered that he was a Level 2 sex offender.

Transit police said Davis was in violation of Sex Offender Registry laws, and he was taken into custody.
