Sheep Found Shot To Death In Leominster

LEOMINSTER (CBS) -- "Unfortunately this will not be a happy, fun post this morning," police wrote as they asked for help investigating the shooting death of a sheep.

The sheep was found shot through the neck at an old landfill on Mechanic Street Monday night.

Leominster Police posted on their Facebook page Tuesday, calling the crime senseless and cruel. They said they believed the shooting happened between one and three days before. 

They asked anyone with information to contact them.
