LeGarrette Blount Hurt At Patriots Practice On Friday

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Patriots were down a running back for Friday's practice session.

LeGarrette Blount left Friday's practice early after suffering a right leg injury. He remained down on the field for a few minutes after suffering the injury, getting checked out by team trainers, and walked off the field slowly under his own power.

The Patriots were in full pads again on Friday, and Blount reportedly suffered the injury when an offensive lineman was pushed into him.

Blount, who will have to serve a one-game suspension to start the upcoming season, projects to be New England's premiere back in 2015. He played five games with New England last season, following his release from the Pittsburgh Steelers, rushing for 281 yards and three touchdowns. He ran for 148 yards and three touchdowns against the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship game, totaling 189 rushing yards during the Patriots run to the Super Bowl.
