Late Night T Service To Shut Down Saturday Night, All Day Sunday

BOSTON (CBS) -  All late night MBTA commuter services will shut down Saturday night and stay closed all day Sunday in anticipation of the weekend snow storm, the transportation agency announced Friday.

"The projected heavy snow and high winds will significantly inhibit the MBTA's ability to deliver safe and reliable service," the agency said in a public statement.

The last T will leave downtown Boston by 12:50a.m. Sunday.

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for Eastern Massachusetts effective 7 p.m. Saturday until 11 a.m. Sunday.

Rail crews will be clearing snow and ice during the storm.

No information was released on Monday's service.
