Laser Pointed At Airplane Landing At Logan Airport
BOSTON (CBS) – The FAA is investigating after someone pointed a laser at a plane landing in Boston Sunday night.
An Air Canada flight from Toronto reported the incident at about 10:40 p.m.
The pilot told the tower a green laser was flashed at the plane three times about 10 miles northeast of Boston.
The Embraer E190 aircraft was at an altitude of 3,000 feet at the time of the incident.
There were no injuries reported and the plane landed safely at Logan Airport.
The FAA says aiming a laser at an aircraft can "can completely incapacitate pilots" and violates federal law.
A Delta Air Lines pilot reported a similar incident last month.
