Girl Thrown From Horse At New Hampshire Fair Dies

LANCASTER, N.H. (CBS) – A child thrown from a horse at a fair in New Hampshire on Friday afternoon has died.

Fair president Edward Samson said the young girl was at the White Mountains Riding Club horse show when the fatal incident occurred.

She was taken to the hospital, where she died of her injuries.

The girl's name and age have not been released.

The tragedy took place on the same fairgrounds where a father and daughter were killed in a circus tent collapse last year when a storm hit.
