12-Year-Old Massachusetts Boy Drowns in Puerto Rico

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (CBS) – A 12-year-old Massachusetts boy drowned near a resort in Puerto Rico over the weekend.

A news service on the island reported that it happened Sunday near La Concha Resort in San Juan.

The boy, whose name has not been released, went into the water with a friend and an adult and they were swept away by strong rip currents.

The adult and other child were rescued.

Dive teams recovered the boy's body on Tuesday.
