La Canfora: Neither Brady, Belichick Is 'Anywhere Close To Being Past His Prime'

Boston (CBS) --- Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports joined Toucher & Rich to discuss the future of the New England Patriots.

Despite failing to reach the Super Bowl this season, La Canfora is far from concerned about the team moving forward. As long as Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are in New England,  La Canfora believes the Patriots will always have the chance to compete for a title.

"I don't think I'm going out on too far of a limb," La Canfora said. "Ten championship games in 15 years and the two primary reasons for that are coming back. Neither is anywhere close to being past his prime."

La Canfora also pointed to a weak division and mediocre conference as reasons for Patriots fans to remain optimistic moving forward.

"Look at the rest of the division," said La Canfora. "It kind of speaks for itself."

If La Canfora is correct, at around this time next year, the Patriots will absolutely still be in the mix.

"Whatever the odds are on the Pats being back in the championship game next year, I'll take them," said La Canfora.
