Kitten Found With Paws Frozen To Fence Finds New Home
BOSTON (CBS) -- A weeks-old kitten found with its paws frozen to a Dorchester fence earlier this month has found a new home.
A Good Samaritan heard Ralphie the cat crying for help and freed his feet with warm water. He brought him to MSPCA's Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, where veterinarians used blankets, warm water bottles and convection heat to warm up Ralphie.
Ralphie's ordeal soon went viral and there was no shortage of families looking to adopt him.
"After treatment at the MSPCA's Angell Animal Medical Center, and your coverage of his plight, the adoption applications rolled in to the MSPCA – by the hundreds," MSPCA spokesman Rob Halpin said in an email.
A couple in Brighton, who wants to remain anonymous, was picked to take in Ralphie.
"Ralphie is now warm and safe in his new home," Halpin said.
