Kitten Found Tied To Melrose Tree Ready For Adoption

MELROSE (CBS) -- A cat found tied to a tree in a park is now ready for adoption.

The Melrose Humane Society is fostering "Fells," a kitten about 6 months old. He's named for the Fells Reservation where a hiker heard meowing and found him near Wright Pond a few weeks ago -- tied to a tree.

Medford police said no one has come forward to claim ownership of the cat yet. Fells has been checked out be a veterinarian and is healthy enough for adoption.
