Kingston Collection Evacuated As Police Investigate Threat

KINGSTON (CBS) -- The Kingston Collection was evacuated midday on Friday after police said a threat was called in. The situation is still being investigated, but police said the building is safe and has reopened.

"Out of an abundance of caution, please avoid the area until units have cleared the area," Kingston Police wrote on Facebook at 12 p.m.

According to police, someone called and said a bomb was at the mall and about to explode. The building was searched by specially-trained members of the Massachusetts State Police and nothing suspicious was found.

The man was reopened by 3 p.m. Friday.
