Kings Acquire Marian Gaborik From Blue Jackets

BOSTON (CBS) - It looks like Marian Gaborik is going to be hopping on a plane to LAX with a dream and a cardigan.  The Columbus Blue Jackets had been shopping Gaborik, and it looks like they finally found the right buyer in the Los Angeles Kings.

Pierre LeBrun broke the story, tweeting "LA Kings have acquired Marian Gaborik ... still pending trade call however."

Gaborik has battled a number of injuries this season, and was relegated to fourth-line duty upon his return to the Blue Jacket lineup. In his 22 games this season, he has six goals and eight assists.

In return, the Blue Jackets will be receiving a second- and a conditional third-round pick, and Matt Frattin. The 26-year-old right winger had appeared in 40 games for the Kings this season, scoring two goals and adding four assists.
