Kickstarter Campaign Aims To Keep Sand Out Of Kids' Shoes

BOSTON (CBS) – A new creation is aiming to help out parents who are tired of sand in their children's shoes.

"SandOut Shoes," a current Kickstarter campaign, are pieces of footwear with insoles that filter out sand and water without having the remove them.

The company's Kickstarter campaign has 185 backers who have pledged $7,235.

If the company reaches its goal of $10,000, it will produce the shoes.

There are 17 days remaining in the campaign.

SandOut Shoes also offers some women's sizes in its shoes, as well as adult flip flops.

One to four pairs of the creation will cost backers $35 apiece. Orders will only be filled if the company reaches its $10,000 goal.
