Medford man wins $1 million after house cleaner finds lottery ticket in vase

DORCHESTER - Khalil Soussa likely owes his house cleaner a huge tip.

A few months ago, Sousa bought a $15 Million Money Maker scratch ticket. He told the Massachusetts Lottery his house cleaner recently found the ticket in a vase in his Medford home and gave it to him.

It was a $1 million winner.

Soussa chose the one-time cash option and ended up with $650,000 before taxes.

He told the lottery he'll use some of that money to help a friend. He also plans to donate some to charity.
