Keller @ Large: Rep. Stephen Lynch On Disaster Relief For MBTA

BOSTON (CBS) -- Congressman Stephen Lynch says the MBTA might hit some snags in its quest to get federal funds.

The agency filed for federal disaster assistance after extreme snow and cold crippled the system, but Lynch told WBZ-TV political analyst Jon Keller that there are caveats.

"They will reimburse you for emergency costs," Lynch said. "But that does not include the absence or neglect to maintain the train fleet."

Lynch also weighed in on the threat from ISIS, and plans for Boston's Olympic bid.

"Plopping down a 60,000-seat stadium in the middle of a rather thickly settled neighborhood is probably not a good idea," he said.
