Keller @ Large: Lynch Disappointed In President Over Trade Bill

BOSTON (CBS) -- U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch, D-MA, says he's disappointed in President Barack Obama over the trade bill that's being fast-tracked through Congress.

Lynch has called the Trans-Pacific Partnership a "lousy" deal on the House floor.

"We've got free trade agreements, but the terms of those agreements favor foreign workers, and that's the problem," Lynch told WBZ-TV political analyst Jon Keller.

He said he's concerned that the bill will pass, and he's not happy with the process.

"Why do we have a totally secretive process when we're talking about a law that's going to impact average Americans?" he said.

Lynch also addressed the medical devices tax, and whether he's convinced that Boston won't be on the hook for any cost overruns if the city is awarded the 2024 Olympics.

"Show me the plan, and then we'll kick the tires and see if it really works," he said.
