Keefer Madness: Escaped Inmate Turns Himself In Due To The Cold

BOSTON (CBS) - 42-year-old Robert Vick was serving time at a maximum security facility in Lexington, Kentucky when he came up with a brilliant idea to escape - and it worked.

The only problem was that the temperature outside was sub-zero, and it got so cold for Vick that he walked to a nearby motel and told the clerk to call the police.

He could no longer go forward with escape plan because it was just too darn frigid, so he was brought back to prison.

On tonight's edition of Keefer Madness, we try to answer the age old question: How cold is it? Is it so cold that a prisoner facing freedom willingly turns himself in?
