Jimmy Garoppolo, Jacoby Brissett Both Practice For Patriots
BOSTON (CBS) -- The grand mystery that has been the health status of both of New England's quarterbacks may soon be solved. And it may be good news for the Patriots.
Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a sprain of the AC joint in his throwing shoulder in Week 2, and rookie Jacoby Brissett suffered a sprained thumb in last Thursday's game. With just five days remaining before the team hosts the Bills for the final game without the suspended Tom Brady, the Patriots have not signed any quarterbacks to the roster. Based on commentary from reporters in Foxboro, there appears to be good reason, as both quarterbacks strolled through the locker room without any visible braces or slings or anything of the sort.
Both also headed out to the practice field.
Patriots QB Jacoby Brissett is present in locker room during media access. He does not have any protective covering over his right thumb.

Jimmy Garoppolo also in the locker room. He's got a sweatshirt on, but isn't wearing anything obvious (sling, etc) on his right shoulder.

I should say nothing visible on the shoulder. Could have tape/wrap under his sweatshirt. https://t.co/khK41Ub0rb

According to ESPN's Ed Werder, the team is hopeful that both QBs will be ready and able to suit up on Sunday afternoon.
#Patriots hopeful that both Jimmy Garappolo and Jacoby Brissett will be healthy enough to play vs #Bills

It's not yet clear if Garoppolo will be healthy enough for a starting role or if he'll serve more as an emergency backup. But for now, the Patriots appear to be in a much better situation regarding their quarterback health than was reported at the end of last week.
